First Look
Platz Hobby produces a wide range of kits, decals, and detail sets for the hobby market and are makng their presence better known outside the Japanese market. You might want to take note as if this is an example of their work, you're going to want to procure some of these various products of interest.
In this release, we have a very nice color photo-etch detail set for their (Platz) 1/72 C-46D JASDF kit. This set is produced by Eduard and provides color-printed instrument panel and details for inside the cockpit plus a number of other parts to render the cockpit rear bulkhead, control yokes, rudder pedals, etc. The second fret of photo-etch provides details for the engines, inside the wheel wells and landing gear doors, as well as provide additional eye-catching details around the rest of hte airframe.
If you're looking for nice set to dress up your Platz 1/144 C-46, here is a set that is literally a drop-in fit. While this set says it is for their JASDF C-46D release, this will provide very nice detailing for any of their 1/144 C-46 kits.
