Model by Armando Soares, Portugal
F4U-5N Corsair – Italeri Kit nr 044 – 1/72. F4U-5NL (Winterized) aboard USS "Antietam", VC 35 in 1950. Construction OOB except:
- New homemade vacuum formed canopy and windscreen
- Increased fuselage length nose area (circa 3mm) to conform to references
- White metal propeller from "Aeroclub – UK" (blades only)
- Decals from an old (late '70s) French IPMS production: "Transkit and decal sheet #1"
