MRC/Italeri Contest 2013
1/72 VH-71 (EH-101) A005

My entry is Italeri kit #1268, VH-71 "Marine One" (EH-101 Merlin), 1/72 scale. I scratchbuilt the custom VIP interior including bulkheads, seats, desks and phone. Bulkhead monitors and Presidential insignia created with homemade inkjet-printed decals. Carpet is sandpaper, curtains made from aluminum foil. The cockpit is detailed with Eduard's color etch set. I added scratchbuilt boarding steps to the kit door, and made assorted antennae and IR jammers, from styrene rod, sheet, and stretched sprue.
