Fine Molds 1/48 X-Wing Fine Molds SW09 - this kit was given a custom dark gray and navy blue paint scheme. I scanned in the original decals, removed the "battle damage" and adjusted the colors to complement the new scheme. Four 5mm LEDs installed in the engines, four 3mm LEDs installed in the cockpit, and two LEDs for R2, one of which is a blinking RGB LED. All controlled by a 4060 IC timer and powered by a 9volt hidden in the stand. The battery connects to a DC power jack hidden in a removable panel on the bottom of the ship. Also installed rare earth magnets in the wings and cockpit to easily open and close them.
