When I set up my own HobbyZone workbench ( look here), I realized that there were a number of items that I wanted close at hand without leaving on my workbench. What I needed was a storage hutch (several of them). I used OM08 Paper Towel modules for the job but I ended up throwing out parts that I didn't need (door and paper towel roll holder) just to have my storage.
Some of you might remember this module as the OM13, as this was the designation when HobbyZone was producing this module exclusively for HobbyZone USA. Since then, HobbyZone has released another module as OM13 and released this module to the world as OM14.
Assembly is quick and easy and also includes the magnets to allow these modules to 'snap' together. I used Gorilla non-foaming Wood Glue to assemble my modules and I have been using the HobbyZone system for several months now without a single glue join failure. The modules are well designed and the glue makes them robust.
You can see one of my 'converted' storage hutches in the background where I keep the thinners, glues, liquid mask, and other materials that do not fit in the paint racks that sit atop these modules. Larger tooks like my magnified small parts holder also fit nicely.
You can see this and other modules at the HobbyZone website (www.hobbyzone.biz) and on their eBay Store. Stay tuned as we build up other modules and see what we can do with them to organize the bench!
My thanks to HobbyZone.biz for this review sample.
