First-Look
While I was touring the displays at iHobbyExpo 2009, I happened across a booth from a new company (to me, at least) that specializes in sanding and polishing products. The company is Alpha Precision Abrasives, Inc. from Ontario, Canada and they bring together a variety of products for a wide range of specialties, not the least of which is for the scale modeler. One range featured by Alpha Precision Abrasives was from Modelbrouwers.nl line of hobbyist products.
This set contains ten sheets of 3" x 8" sanding film that will work nicely for wet or dry sanding or cleaning up your model's surfaces. The set contains two each of the following grits:
- 150, 320, 480, 600, and 1000
Whether you're cleaning up seam lines or blending together slight steps in parts fit, products like these will certainly make your job much easier and the sheets are larger for roughly the same price as other offerings on the hobby market.
