Review

Detailing Italeri's classic 1:72 Ca.313/314 kit?  Anchor your efforts in Caproni B16A-S16A & B, T 16A-Tp 16A-a magnificent monograph by renowned historian Mikael Forslund.

And don't let the Swedish main text deter you.  This terrific tome sports hundreds of vintage operational and detail shots of Caproni "flying coffins" in Royal Swedish Air Force (Flygvapnet) service.  Bombers.  Reconnaissance versions.  Trainers.  All appear.

Illuminating illustrations, color profiles, statistics, sidebars, extended English captions, charts, analyses and tables further flavor this sumptuous study.  Serial-by-serial, summary sections detail aircraft fates.  And a large map strategically pinpoints Flygvapnet Caproni unit deployments.

While a handy English précis neatly concludes contents, even my fast-fading German helped decode enough cognates to trace drifts and directions in Forslund's ample account.  GOOGLE handled the rest.

A friend graciously unearthed my copy of this brilliant book in Europe.  A Flygvapnet fan?  Italian aircraft enthusiast?  Hunt down this fascinating footnote to World War II aviation history.  You won't regret it!

Robustly recommended.
