Review

Kagero’s lavishly illustrated Arado Ar 234 Blitz study continues with Volume II – 62nd in its superb “3D” monographs range.

This one devotes the initial 30 pages to design enhancements – specifically, for instance, crescent wing development and the fighter variant.

Coverage also recaps operational Ar 234 reconnaissance, bombing and, surprisingly, interceptor missions. Arados participated in, for instance, actions at the Battle of the Bulge and the bridgehead at Remagen.

As with Volume 1, Volume 2 includes dozens of photo-realistic 3D detail and general images. Joining these are tech-manual excerpts – supplemented by a few profiles and line drawings to 1:32, 1:48 and 1:72 scales.

Add Volume 1. And Kagero’s brace of Blitz books deserves pride of place in any enthusiast’s Luftwaffe library!

Highly recommended!
