Review
This is the newest release from the all new designed Classic Warships Publishing pictorial books. This Aircraft Pictorial series covers the early F4U-1 Corsair. Digging through records at the National Archives and the National Air and Space Museum, author Dana Bell has uncovered the never-before-told story of this significant fighter. Dana goes on to dispel many misconceptions previously published about this bird.
This book contains 109 black and white, 8 very crisp color photos, as well as 4 color profiles and 5 line drawings within the covers of this very well produced 72 page softbound book. Color photos inserted within the book along with color photos on both sides of the cover are unique to the newest design of this type of book from Classic Warships Publishing.
I highly recommend this book by Aviation Expert Dana Bell as required reading for aviation historians, restorers, and scale modelers. I look forward to Vol. 2 on the F4U-1A "Raised Cabin" Bubbletop Corsair.
Thanks goes out to Steve Wiper of classicwarships.com for the review sample!
