Review
F-86K Sabre Jet, part of the “Italian Aviation Series” from publisher Aviation Collectables, charts the FIAT-built interceptors in Italian service.
Available for the first time in North America from Casemate, the compact chronicle tells the total tale in just 44 pages – including covers.
In both Italian and English, author Federico Anselmino recaps design, development, and deployment of the canon-armed, all-weather F-86D derivative. And he does so in lavishly illustrated fashion.
Images include color photos, B&W shots, and tech-manual excerpts. And color profiles with unit badges provide plenty of project potential.
Anselmino even seasons his study with colorful reproductions of period Italian magazine covers depicting F-86Ks!
Extended, explanatory captions accompany images. Tables with F-86K technical data, unit details, weaponry, and serials also augment the account. And a model build of Special Hobby’s 1:72-scale kit, acknowledgements, and references conclude contents.
Recommended!
