Review
Here is Aero Research's latest release: Commando. This title covers a much-overlooked subject, Curtiss' C-46 Commando and its operations in post-war (mostly) civil aviation around the world. It consists of a mix of black and white as well as color photos (mostly color) with dates ranging from 1946 through the 1980s, and this time around, there are 170 images to view. As with the previous releases, these images are provided at 4000 pixels wide.
While the 'standard' C-46 had that distinctive nose profile, the C-46E was built with a stepped windscreen profile, similar to the C-47. You'll find a few of those in this release. If we are ever given a decent kit of the Commando aside from the nice offering in 1/144 from Platz, there are many colorful schemes to choose from on this disc and will be useful for replicating those in a C-46 build.
There is a nice selection of imagery here that you won't find available in such clarity and size. This title is recommended!

My sincere thanks to Aero Research for this review sample!
