Review
Aero Research has released the latest title in their historical series, this time covering the Lockheed Jetstar, a versatile aircraft in its day that flew as the C-140 in USAF service and in a variety of configurations in civil service. Produced in Adobe PDF format, this title provides a variety of useful information from development and configuration, to a very thorough roster of individual airframes and their dispositions.
While this title could be handy for the scale modeler, there are very few Jetstar kits on the market. Nevertheless, the coverage provides the evolution of aircraft engines and power configurations which led to a number of interesting variants that would fly.
The majority of this title's coverage focuses on the Jetstar's Production List. This section covers every Jetstar produced, including registation number, owners by date, and distinctive notes/events for that aircraft.
The appendices in the back of this title covers airframe disposition as well as accidents by date.
This title is available for $11.95 via email or $12.95 plus shipping if delivered by CD-ROM.
You can purchase this title or any of their photo CDs directly from their website www.aeroresearchcds.com or via email AeroResearch@Charter.net.
My sincere thanks to Aero Research for this review sample!
