Review

Here is the latest from Accion Press Modelismo - Issue 47 of Panzer Aces. As you'll note on the right side of the cover is a UK and US flag which indicates that this issue is printed in English. This issue has a nice selection of heavy metal subjects.

The in-depth build, painting and weathering articles in this issue include:

  • 1/35 Russian B-4 Model 1931 203mm Howitzer
  • 1/35 PPRU-1M 9S90M Sborka (Dog Ear)
  • 1/35 AFKWX 352 Dump Truck
  • 1/35 GTU-1 at Chernobyl
  • 1/35 Serbian Service T-55

As usual, these are all great reference articles on how to take a given kit and make it better or transform it into some subject you've always wanted to do. These articles walk you through the assembly and modification process including the use of aftermarket items to achieve specific goals, as well as how to paint, weather, and finish the model into a masterpiece.

These Panzer Aces series are must-have references for the armor modeler, whether you're a novice or a master, these issues provide the clear visual how-to techniques which can teach or enhance your own skills. What is also enjoyable with these titles is that they are some of the few left that are not full of advertisements, only the inside cover and rear cover carry ads, the rest is all golden content. You're going to want this in your library!

Definitely recommended!

My sincere thanks to Accion Press for this review sample!
