The US Navy is celebrating its 100th Anniversary of Naval Aviation this year and in honor of that milestone, a number of aircraft have been painted in 'retro' color schemes replicating the look of Naval aircraft from different periods of time. The big kick-off to this event was recently held at Naval Air Station North Island in California where some of these aircraft gathered for static display as well as participating in formation flyovers.
Chris Banyai-Riepl and his father Will Riepl attended the event (as did our own Fotios Rouch) and they assembled their photos into this nice photo chronical of the event. This 60-page title has over 200 color photographs of the aircraft and aerial displays which cover:
- 100 Years of Naval Aviation
- Bell TH-57C Sea Ranger
- Beechcraft T-34C Turbo Mentor (two schemes)
- McDonnell Douglas T-45 Goshawk (two schemes)
- Beechcraft TC-12B Huron
- Grumman EA-6B Prowler
- Lockheed S-3B Viking
- Boeing EA-18G Growler
- Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk
- McDonnell Douglas F/A-18C Hornet (two schemes)
- Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk
- McDonnell Douglas F/A-18A Hornet (two schemes)
- Beechcraft T-6B Texan II
- Lockheed HC-130H Hercules
- Lockheed P-3C Orion
- Sikorsky HH-60H Rescue Hawk
- Boeing F/A-18F Super Hornet (two schemes)
- McDonnell Douglas AV-8B Super Harrier
- Sikorsky SH-60F Seahawk (three schemes)

This title is nicely done with excellent photos that will interest the aviation enthusiast as well as the scale modeler. This title is available directly from the publisher from their website.
