Review
Virgil (Dr. Cranky) Suarez of YouTube fame has published his first book on model building "Doctor Cranky's Way". This book shows beginners, intermediate, and advanced model car builders how to make their models ZING, ZAP, and POP! with dramatic weathering techniques, flair and character. Over 200 very colorful photographs offer plenty of eye candy for the scale modeler.
This book gives you a first time look in detail of Dr Cranky's "Lab-Rat-tory" with plenty of tips for a workshop setup, researching a model subject, scratchbuilding, painting and graphics. Of course the highlight of this book is what has to be one of the most unique painting styles from Dr Cranky, rusty crusty dusty modeling.
Now it doesn't stop here, displaying, showing and photographing models along with a showcase of Dr Cranky's favorite creations. Lastly you also get some eye candy builds from some of the top model car builders in the industry. As Dr Cranky's says "Long Live Styrene."
This is a limited edition first printing of the book so I would recommend you snatch this up as soon as possible. I highly recommend this book.
