First Look
Up until now, I haven't seen any of Zvezda's previous figure releases. This set represents four German Panzer Grenadiers, one perched on the engine deck of a tank pointing at something, a second peering from behind the turret, while the other two are walking alongside.
The upper torsos are molded separately from the left leg and right leg parts. The two arms are also cast separately, so fine tuning the pose to suit your tank will be a snap. The helmets are separate from the faces, which will make painting much easier. The detail on the faces are as nice as many of the resin releases we regularly see here, so they should be great for most modelers out of the box.
In their usual thorough fashion, Zvezda also includes lots of gear, with bed rolls, butt packs, canteens, shovels, and mess kits included. The rear of the box features full color front and back profiles of each figure for recommended gear placement and colors.
Zvezda continues to turn out some interesting kits and these German Panzer Grenadiers are a nice example. You can find this kit at your local hobby retailer or directly from Squadron Mail Order (www.squadron.com).
My sincere thanks to Squadron Mail Order for this review sample!
