First Look
Here's a nice release from Master Box which provides a subject which can be used as a stand-alone display model or be integrated into a vignette or diorama. This set depicts a German soldier standing holding his bicycle. The bike is carrying his personal gear, weapons and ammunition. While you might title this as an early-war self-propelled infantryman, it can be part of a greater story.
The kit is molded in gray styrene and presented on three parts trees plus a fret of photo-etched details. If you look at the image to the right (click on it for a larger view) you'll see the bike is almost a single part with only the handlebars, seat, light, and rear rack needing assembly plus those nice photo-etched spoke wheels which will drop right into place. The figure is nicely sculpted and will make painting the sharp detailing easy.
This will make a nice project and lends itself to a nice display for your next contest entry.
My sincere thanks to DML for this review sample!
