First Look
The Master Box kit of 'The Generals of WW II era' consists of 51 parts molded in tan styrene. The parts are all molded very well and no flash is present. Seam lines are minimal and cleanup will be fast and easy.
The facial details are very nicely done and accurate to period photographs of each person. The uniforms are equally well done and careful painting will be needed to bring out all of the details that Master Box has molded into the parts.
The figures represented are:
- British General Bernard Law Montgomery, 1st Viscount Montgomery of Alamein
- Soviet General Georgy Zhukov
- Japanese General Sugijama Hadjime
- German General Erich von Manstein
- French General Charles Andre Joseph Marie de Gaulle
- American General George Smith Patton, Jr.
The box art is wonderful, but there are a few things missing from the kit that are shown in the painting. Patton's dog, Manstein's baton and Hadjime's sword are not included in the kit.
Master Box just keeps getting better and better with their figure releases.
My sincere thanks to DML for this review sample!
