First Look
Master Box's kit consists of just 45 styrene parts molded in grey. The parts all feature really nice details and the molding is crisp. There is a fair amount of flash present but it is thin and will be very easy to clean up.
The kit allows you to build one mounted Red Lancer and one female figure. The Red Lancer figure has very nice uniform details that will make painting a little easier. His mount is very well represented as is all of the equipment on the horse. The maiden figure is also very well done and will be a nice change of pace for most military figure painters.
The faces and hands are very well sculpted and feature nice animation and expressions.
One thing that is lacking is the small dog shown on the boxart. It is not included.
Another thing to keep in mind with this kit is that it is 1/32 scale, not 1/35 scale.
You can build a nice figure vignette with just what is supplied in the box.
My sincere thanks to DML for this review sample!
