First Look
Here is one of Master Box Models' first entries into 1/24th scale. This series is based on an earlier release in 1/35 scale which featured six nicely cast pin-up figures representing differed branches of service in the United States military. These figures have now been up-scaled to 1/24th and released individually. These figures include:
- 24001 - Marylin
- 24002 - Betty (American Beauty)
- 24003 - Alice (US Army)
- 24004 - Suzie (US Navy)
- 24005 - Patty (USAF)
- 24006 - Samantha
Here is Patty, posed with a US Army Air Corps hat holding a salute. The kit is a simple build - you'll spend more time painting this figure than assembling her. The kit is molded in light gray styrene and presented on one small parts tree. At 1/24th scale, there aren't many aircraft kits you could pose this figure with, but there are a significant number of 1/24 and 1/25 car kits that you could use as a backdrop for this figure. While this figure will look great on its own, you have a variety of options to place this figure into an aircraft or automotive vignette to add an interesting feature.
Check out one of these figure kits for your project list!
My sincere thanks to Stevens International for this review sample!
