Live Resin 1/35 US Army Modern Soldier Kit First Look

I had noticed a new line of modern US figure details showing up online from a company called Live Resin and I've been amazed at the details in each set. One set might contain several configurations of the current issue M4 carbine, another set with a variety of night vision devices, another still with weapons sights. Seeing these sort of details cast with so much detail suddenly had my attention as we finally were seeing modern (currently used) subjects that would compliment the growing range of modern combat vehicles.

When Live Resin released their first three modern US Army figures, I was anxious for a closer look as the box art looked great. When High Calibre Miniatures contacted us with some samples out of their catalog, here was figure number three out of the Live Resin line.

Cast in gray resin, the basic figure is comprised of the standard head, torso, legs, and arms which allow for some easier clean-up and painting before assembly. You'll note from the parts image that the figure doesn't stop there. This set also includes a silenced HK416 with sight, drop-leg ammo pouches, PRC-148 radio with Peltor headset, PVS-14 NVG mounted on the helmet, hydration pouch, and much more.

Take a look at the cover image and you get an idea just how detailed this single figure is and how we finally have some good quality modern figures to choose from. This is outstanding kit from Live Resin and whether you're a figure modeler or wanting some figures around your Humvee, M-ATV, or other modern combat vehicle, this kit is just what you're looking for. The Live Resin line has definitely raised the bar on figure quality!
