First Look
Italeri has reissued the Fujimi 1/24 Fiat 500 in the 2007 body style. This is a nice-looking curbside kit that offers a nice interior and easy construction. You'll spend more time painting this gem than building it.
Among the features and options in this kit:
- Steerable front wheels
- Left-hand drive configuration
- Nice interior with a decal for the instrument cluster
- Four-wheel disc brakes
- Rubber (vinyl) tires
The instructions indicate a light blue body color, but you can scan the internet to see the variety of colors offered in the 2007 model year. You might be able to order a bottle of touch-up paint for the full-scale car to paint yours, but remember to prime your model before applying lacquer.
Decals are provided for Italian, German, French, and Spanish license plates (all EU plates) plus a variety of body accents to support your final color choices.
Fujimi first released this kit ten years ago and it was nicely done as it has been reissued many times in different schemes includnig the Abarth edition. Remember those Abarth commercials?
My sincere thanks to MRC for this review sample!
