First Look
The USS Greenville is one of 62 Los Angeles class submarines. The submarine is equipped with the "Tomahawk" missile system which has land attack capabilities. It also has enhanced navigation and ice breaking capabilities. Construction of the SSN-772 Greenville started at the Newport shipyard in 1994.
The Hobby Boss kit of the USS Greenville consists of over 45 styrene parts on 5 sprues and 6 photo etch detail parts. All of the parts are molded well and flash is minimal. Fit of the main parts is great.
You get the option of building the periscopes and antennae in the up or down position. Also included in this release is a kit of the ASDS (Advanced Seal Delivery System) mini sub.
This one will be a quick build, but the detail is really nice and will look great under paint!
My sincere thanks to Squadron Mail Order for this review sample!
