First Look
We've been seeing Hasegawa producing a number of 1/12 scale furniture and diorama items over this last year and it is time to take a look at a few of them. This kit is their school desk and chair set. It is molded in two-color styrene and is can be snapped together without glue or paint (if you're so inclined). There are three complete sets in one box plus a printed cardboard base simulating a wooden tile floor.
This is one of a number of subjects produced by Hasegawa and a few of a growing number of products being produced in Japan for 1/12 doll houses and dioramas. The reason some of these items interest me is that they can provide a bit of background detail with various 1/12 scale dioramas or vignettes. You can leave the desks and chairs unpainted and they will look fine, but add some paint and details and it will really look good if you're taking your fellow contestants to school.
My sincere thanks to Hasegawa USA for this review sample!
