First Look
Here's an interesting figure from DG Miniatures Artwork entitled Wind Cutter, one of several in their 'Sword of the Wind' series. This is a 75mm figure cast in gray resin and features some impressive sculpting. This kit consists of a Japanese warrior with his Kitana, standing on a cobblestone base with ceremonial stand and two bamboo trees. The trees have laser-cut leaves on branches. This figure was sculpted by Dae-Hyeong Kim.
The castings in this kit consist of the main figure, display base, sheathed sword, raised kitana in both hands, separate forearms, bamboo trunks, sheet of laser-cut paper leaves, etc. The relief in the surface details will make this figure a joy to paint as well as the variety of materials portrayed.
If you visit High Calibre Miniatures' website, you'll see this figure and several others from DG Miniatures that are quite impressive.
My sincere thanks to High Calibre Miniatures for this review sample!
