First Look
Here's a nice looking figure from a company new to me - Bravo 6. Whoever is doing their sculpting is really an artist with an excellent eye for detail. This figure is molded in gray resin and presented on four molding blocks and the designer made sure that you can remove these parts from the casting block without much effort or repairs.
Take a close look at the parts image - everything from the facial expression to the laces on his boots are very well done. The two bandoliers of grenades for his grenade launcher are finely cast yet they are integral to the main figure. The figure also has his ammo belt with magazine pouches so all you need to is add the two arms, steel pot helmet, 1911 pistol holster, two canteens, and his knife scabbard.
The Bravo 6 line has definitely raised the bar on figure quality! According to the box, this is figure number four out of an 11 figure set (so far) centered around the Marines during the Tet Offensive, 1968. From what I've seen of the other figures in this series, you can assemble quite a vignette or diorama from these figures or tell a story with this figure on its own.
My sincere thanks to High Calibre Miniatures for this review sample!
