First Look
Hummingline Hobby Shop carries a wide range of great airbrushes and hobby supplies centered around the outstanding Iwata airbrush family. Tom Grossman not only sells these products, but he is a big user of them as well, most notably for painting of figures. He recently sent us this interesting figure that is also carried at Hummingline Hobby Shop as well - Cowgirl Red.
This interesting figure is quite nicely cast and is sculpted anime-style of a shapely cartoon character. Molded in tan resin, this kit is comprised of seven parts that have no visible pin holes or other casting issues visible. The legs and forearms are set up with alignment tabs to help orient the parts and provide some additional strength to the figure after cyano or epoxy-based assembly.
The paint scheme is simple as shown on the cover art, but you can embelish her costume any way you'd like. Given that this is an anime figure, painting is usually very simple and you can use some of the aftermarket eye decals that are out there to get that extra sharp finishing touch.
This is a nice kit that would make for a quick build and paint project. If you're looking for something fun to build between your in-depth projects, give this kit a try!
You can get Cowgirl Red from Hummingline Hobby Shop here.
My sincere thanks to Hummingline Hobby Shop for this review sample!
