First Look
The Ta152 H-1 was an all-weather fighter plane equipped with an automatic flight controller, radio navigation and electro thermal bullet proof glass as well as additional revamping centering around improvement of cruising performance, based on flight experiments of the preceding mass produced Ta 152 H-0. Once mass production started, the H-1 was deployed in the 301 Combat Air Wing and supposed to provide air support for the Me262 jet fighter planes during take-off and landings.
The Aoshima Ta 152 H-1 kit consists of 39 parts molded in grey styrene and 3 parts molded in clear styrene. The molding on this kit is first rate! The panel lines are very fine and are recessed. The moldings are crisp and there is no flash present. Seam lines are very faint and cleanup will be fast and easy. The instructions are very well done and will be easy to follow. Paint colors are called out during assembly.
The decal sheet is very well printed and will give you several options. All of the cockpit gauges are supplied as decals.
The kit gives you a few options including, either open or closed cowl flaps and a open or closed canopy. A pilot figure is also included.
This is a really nice kit and is one of the nicest 1/72nd scale aircraft kits that I have seen. Recommended!
My sincere thanks to DML for this review sample!
