First Look
Round2 Models continues to reissue a nice array of kits that haven't seen the light of day in decades. Here is another one that I was rather pleased to see announced at the last iHobbyExpo trade show, the Bigfoot. This was first released around 1970 and was was never reissued (until now).
The kit is molded in dark brown styrene and presented on three parts trees plus a number of separate parts. One additional tree molded in 'glow-in-the-dark' styrene is also included to bring the model to light on a dark evening.
The kit is a simple build that can be assembled without painting if you'd like or can take on some different shades with some paint to bring out the nice details in the model. Here's one that was painted for the Round2 display at this last iHobbyExpo:
The kit can really look nice with some work. The pond surface and skeleton will glow in the dark as well as the figure's eyes should you want to keep that effect.
Kudos to Round2 for bringing back this classic. Is it me or would some modifications turn this guy into a Wookie?
My sincere thanks to Round2 Models for this review sample
