The 105mm leFH 16 howitzer was a field gun used by Germany in World War I and was pressed into service in World War II. In fact, a number of guns that were turned over to Belgium as reparations after World War I were taken back after that country was overrun by the Blitzkrieg.

Ace has released this 1/72nd scale kit of the German leFH 16 field howitzer and it looks rather nice. Molded in light gray styrene, this kit is presented on three parts trees. The kit consists of the gun, carriage, and limber. Detailing is nicely done in this scale and will leave the AMS modeler with some opportunities for nice weathering to bring out those details.

This looks like a nice little kit and will provide a nice and quick modeling project.

My sincere thanks to HobbyTerra for this review sample!
