First Look
J's Work is an interesting company producing a nice range of details and diorama accessories of use to a wide range of modelers. With this release, J's Work has entered the world of paint masks. This set is for the Kinetic (or Hasgegawa) 1/48 F-16D in Israeli Air Force service. The set comes on two sheets of yellow tape mask material (only one shown) that is laser cut and marked by color. The image below has been altered from its yellow color to provide contrast for the laser cut silhouettes.
To use the set, simply paint the model IDF brown, apply the brown (marked B) masks to the airframe, paint the model IDF green and then apply the green (marked G) masks to the model, and then paint the model IDF tan. Mask off the remaining upper surfaces and paint the underside and you'll have an IDF paint scheme that has hard demarkations without any guesswork. Nice!
You can obtain J's Work details and accessories from Lucky Model.
My sincere thanks to J's Work for this review sample!
