First Look

J's Work is an interesting company producing a nice range of details and diorama accessories of use to a wide range of modelers. In this release, we have a set of 16 MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) boxes that are pre-cut and only need their small tabs released and then folded into shape. Use a paper glue stick to glue the folds together and you have realistic cartons to load in your modern 1/48 scale vehicle or place in a vignette or diorama.

It is really interesting how laser-cut technology is providing new products like these pre-cut cartons which will seriously enchance your next project. You'll certainly want several sets of these for your Humvee, Blackhawk, or other desert warrior builds as MREs are still the standard fare of US forces in the field.

You can obtain J's Work details and accessories from Lucky Model.

My sincere thanks to J's Work for this review sample!
