First Look

Zactomodels is a small aftermarket company that does some of the most incredible engineering and casting to correct or convert selected beloved subjects. This time around, they've produced a set of pylons that were left out of Trumpeter's 1/32 Su-25 Frogfoot A release.

Su-25 PD-62-8 Pylons

This set provides the PD-62-8 pylons carried on the outboard stations of the Su-25 Frogfoot. These pylons are usually seen with the R-60 Aphid dogfight missile and its launch rail installed, though the aircraft does fly without these pylons installed. In Trumpeter's release of the Su-25 Frogfoot A, the only pylons not included in the kit are these outboard pylons for stations 1 and 10. Zactomodels has really done a nice job fabricating and detailing these parts and even have the mounting stubs included in the casting so they'll fit directly onto the kit with no hassles. Zactomodels also produces the R-60 and launch rail set so you can arm your Frogfoot with the nicest looking R-60 missiles produced in scale.

As usual, this is a nice bit of engineering from Zactomodels to enhance your new Su-25 kit.

You can learn more about this and other project from the Zactomodels website at http://www.zactomodels.com.

My sincere thanks to Zactomodels for this review sample!
