First Look
Wingman Models is now producing this comprehensive airframe conversion for the Italeri MH-53J kit. This was formerly released under the Isracast (#72005) label. This set converts the Italeri kit into the late configuration CH-53 Yasur in Israeli Air Force service.
The set provides a new set of main rotor blades, sand filter intakes, air refueling probe, external fuel tanks, radar warning antennas, chaff/flare launchers, and more. The instructions are printed in color with lots of photographs to show you where the various details go. While the photos will help with the airframe stencils, you'll need to find some photos of an aircraft so you can use these nice decals which provide a variety of squadron and airframe tail number options.
This conversion set will transform the Italeri Pave Low kit into a very distinctive IAF airframe with options to render the original service Yasur, Yasur 2000, and Yasur 2025 configurations.
My sincere thanks to Wingman Models for this review sample!
