First Look
Wingman Models is back with one of several detail and conversion sets previously released under the IsraCast brand. This set is a conversion for the Tamiya 1/32 F-4J Phantom II to update it with the F-4S slatted wings.
Cast in gray resin, this set provides replacement outer wing panels with separate slats and the slat actuators that mount under and behind the leading edges of the inner wing sections. This set also includes a photo-etched fret containing the distinctive wing fences for the F-4S as well. Note that this set does not convert your kit to an F-4S, this only provides the slatted wings of the F-4S. You'll still need the ECM fairings for the sides of the intakes, the reinforcing strap that runs under the wing, some cockpit updates and weapons updates to get to the complete Sierra. This set addresses the most complex portion of that conversion.
You'll find this conversion at your favorite online retailer or available directly from Wingman Models.
My sincere thanks to Wingman Models for this review sample!
