UMM-USA sent an example of their Scale Spokes series, which are pre-fabricated spoked wheels in 1/32, 1/48, and 1/72 which provide awesome detail to your World War I aircraft without any assembly. What you see in the package is ready to be mounted to your model.
This set is for the 1/32 Fokker Dr.I and they have alternative tire colors to make your model historically accurate. The rims are aluminum, the spokes are copper wire, and the spindles in this case are nylon but are covered with photo-etched caps. If you click on the image above, you can see the details are beautiful. According to the UMM-USA website, they have wheels for the Fokker Dr.I, Spad XIII, Ni-28, Fokker E.III, Gotha G.IV, Fokker D.VII, and more.
For the price of a photo-etched detail set, you can add these beautiful wheels to your next project. If you don't see a set of wheels for your aircraft, contact UMM-USA as they may have versions not yet posted on their website.
