Subject Wright R-3350 Scale 1/72
Kit Number 7015 Primary Media Resin, Photo-Etch

Skill Level Intermediate MSRP (USD) $17.90

First Look

Here's a nicely cast and detailed R-3350 engine in 1/72 scale which is ideal for displaying the cowling opened or removed from your Hasegawa P2V Neptune, C-119 Flying Boxcar, etc.

Wright R-3350

This kit is cast in gray resin and provides the two banks of nine cylinders, each cast separately, with the crankcase, turbochargers, intake and exhaust plumbing, and other details. The set also includes a fret of photo-etched parts for the cowl ring and ignition. Wire is provided to render the push rod tubes for the front bank of cylinders (they're cast into the rear bank).

If you've been wanting to super-detail your Hasegawa Neptune or Italeri 'Dollar Nineteen' kit, this engine (and perhaps another one) will get you there.

My sincere thanks to Plus Model for this review sample!
