First Look
Pavla Models has just released a blister pack upgrade for the latest Airfix Spitfire PR kit in 1/72 scale. Included within the 13 piece pack are two types of pilot seats with seatbelt detail,(x2) main landing gear wheels, a tropical engine air-scoop, an under-wing air-scoop, a re-shaped fuselage camera window, (x2) camera wing blisters, two styles of vacuform canopies, a form to reshape the underside fuselage on a PR Mk.1C, and an additional internal, aft-cockpit fuel tank.
The instructions are easy to follow, guiding you through basic illustrations on building your choice of Spitfire Photo Recon. In order to make the modifications shown, you will need a modeling drill, a saw to modify the corresponding Airfix kit parts and cyanoacrylic glue to put it all together.
The decals included are for a Spitfire PR Mk.1C (R6903), Spitfire PR Mk.1G (R7059) and a Spitfire PR Mk.VI (BR880/S) "The Flying Scotsman."
Humbrol Paint colors are recommended for the exterior. Interior parts colors are only given basic color suggestions (silver, black, leather etc.).
