First Look
Pavla produces an interesting line of detail sets for a variety of subjects, each one designed to enhance a particular aspect of a given kit. In this set, Pavla offers another update to the Airfix 1/72 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX kit.
This set provides a complete replacement for the kit's flight control surfaces so you can pose them as you wish. This set includes replacement ailerons, rudder, elevators, and horizontal stabilizers. The rudder is the late version with the higher top and broader chord, while the horizontal stabilizers and elevators also reflect the changes made in the late version for these components as well.
This is a very nice detail set for the Airfix kits and will definitely add some eye-catching details to the stock models.
