First Look
If you're looking to add a little more detail to the front end of the HobbyBoss 1/72 MiG-15 kit, here is an impressive bit of resin casting that will meet your needs. This intricate casting replaces the intake nose ring, ventral gun tray area, and a small section of the lower fuselage aft of the gun tray.
Take a look at that detailing! The intake duct is nicely replicated with the splitter centerbody that also doubles as the nosewheel well fairing. The nosewheel well is very nicely detailed inside, and the parts frame contains replacement nose gear doors. The reason that the lower section of the part goes back so far is to capture the fairings for the 30mm and two 23mm cannons as well as the 23mm cannon shell ejector chutes. How Pavla captured so much detail into one part is very impressive indeed.
If you want to accurize your HobbyBoss MiG-15 fighter, Pavla has the parts to get the job done!
My sincere thanks to Pavla Models for this review sample.
