First Look
Metallic Details is an aftermarket detail company from the Ukraine that produces some really impressive updates for current as well as older kits. This release is the latest from Metallic Details and provides detailed replacement engine exhausts for the Zvezda 1/48 Mi-24V Hind kit. The set is cast in gray resin and provides the engine turbine exhausts w/integral transmission drive shafts, two seamless exhaust ducts with hole for connecting the engine shafts to the transmission, and additional detail parts.
The instructions included in the initial releases show how to install the engine exhaust assemblies to the Zvezda kit, but they forgot the assembly instructions for the resin parts themselves. Metallic Details has updated their instructions and you can see them here.
If you want to have seamless engine ducts or super-detailed engine-to-transmission subassemblies, this is the set you want to enhance the Zvezda kit.
