First Look
MAW-Decals has released another nice resin conversion, this time for the Academy 1/48 CH-46 Sea Knight kits. This detail set will convert the stock CH-46D/E kits to the early CH-46E or CH-46F configurations.
This conversion set comes with a replacement centrifugal air filter intake section, exhaust ducts, armor plate, countermeasures, and other details to alter the stock kits into the variants cited.
Molded in white resin, this set is very nicely cast and represent drop-in replacement parts for the Academy kit parts, so this is an excellent conversion project for the novice multimedia builder. The instructions show which parts are needed to create the early E or F models from these kits.
