First Look
GreenStrawberry is an interesting aftermarket company based in the Czech Republic that produces primarily detail sets for science fiction kits as well as kits of their own. This release is designed for the Moebius Models 1/32 Colonial Raptor kit and features some impressive details. If you thought the stock kit looked good out of the box, this set takes that kit to a completely new level.
This set is rendered on two sheets of photo-etched brass and provide some fine details on the exterior of the Raptor airframe. The instructions are very nicely done as they are color-printed to show what modifications are required for kit parts, what preparations are required for each photo-etched part, and where each part is to be placed. Among the details included in this set:
- Engine exhaust nozzle details suitable for backlighting
- Improved entry steps onto wing
- Tread patterns for wing walkways
- Intake grills
- Detailed access panels
- Detailed sensor dish
- Sturdy landing gear alternative
- Improved sensor feedhorn details
