First Look

If you've seen some of the historical movies and period photographs of the Boeing B-47 Stratojet in action, you've no-doubt seen the spectacular (and smokey) Jet-Assisted Take-Off (JATO) which involves a bunch of rocket bottles pushing the heavily-loaded bomber off the ground at a rapid rate. Fisher Model and Pattern has replicated the JATO system used on the B-47 for the 1/72 scale Hasegawa kit.

KC-135 Nose and TF33 Correction

This set consists of 34 resin parts cast in sharp detail and awaiting assembly and installation. The so-called 'horse collar' mounts to the underside of the fuselage aft of the rear wheel well. On that rack mounts 33 rocket bottles, each nicely cast and requiring minor clean-up before installation.

If you want to add some interesting details to your B-47, a rack of 33 rocket bottles will fill that requirement.

My sincere thanks to Fisher Model and Pattern for this review sample!
