First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
Here is Eduard's upgrade set for the Trumpeter 1/48 A-37B Dragonfly kit. This set consists of two frets of photo-etched parts, one of which features color-printed details on each part as well as a self-adhesive backing. The set provides a new instrument panel, center and side consoles, and crew restraints for the ejection seats, all color-printed so there's no extra detail painting required to obtain eye-catching details. The set also provides a variety of access panels and covers for around the airframe, and details for the insides of the landing gear doors. In addition, there are detail enhancements for the thrust deflectors, rocket pods, speed brake, FOD screens, and weapons pylons.
This set provides some nice visual enhancements for the Trumpeter kit and what's also nice is that this set provides both internal and external details in one package. If you want to add some eye-catching realism in your A-37B project, this set is just what you're looking for!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
