First Look
As you know, Eduard produces a wide range of aftermarket detail sets for aircraft, armor, and ship kits. When a new and noteworthy kit is released, Eduard will usually follow within a few months with one or more detail sets to enhance that kit. When Academy released its 1/48 F-4J Phantom II kit, Eduard soon followed with several nice enhancement sets. Here's the F-4J Seatbelts Set, let's take a look:
This set consists of one fret of color-printed photo-etched parts. The set provides two sets seat belts and shoulder harnesses for the Martin Baker H7 ejection seats as used in the F-4J Phantom II. IN additon, this set provides the actuator handles between the legs, the overhead actuator handles, two options for seatback stencils, and the remove before flight streamers showing that the safety pins are installed while the aircraft is parked.
This is another nice enhancement that will be easy to install in the Academy kit and help add additional fidelity to that nice kit. Using this set with the other releases from Eduard will raise the level of detail in this kit to a higher level.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
