First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
Here is Eduard's exterior detail set for the Kitty Hawk Models' 1/48 AH-1Z Viper (Zulu Cobra) kit. This set provides some nice details in the engine bays, barrel brackets for the chain gun, brackets for the skids, nice details to populate the avionics bay, a nice array of grilles, slime (formation) light fixtures, cable cutters, and more. This set compliments the AH-1Z Exterior detail set also produced by Eduard.
