First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
In this release, Eduard has produced a nice enhancement to the Academy 1/48 F-4C kit. This set replaces the interior of the ventral speed brakes and brake wells with these new interior surfaces. To convert the speed brakes, you remove any molded-on interior details and then use the small shapes included in the set to fill the recesses of the plastic brake interiors. This is a simple conversion that won't take much time to install.
This is another great set for your next Phantom project and will make any AMS modeler happy!
Recommended for experienced modelers!
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
