First Look
Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-molded plastic.
This set is designed to fit the Academy 1/48 F-4C Phantom II kit. This set features details for the interior sides of the landing gear doors, auxiliary intake doors, main wheel wells, nose wheel well, GE compressor bullet frames, afterburner flame rings, tie-down rings, filler caps, and even an antenna frame.
These photo-etch details provide a nice subtle additional level of detail in areas that were somewhat overlooked in the basic kit and are nice additions that are easy to use.
My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
