First Look

Eduard from the Czech Republic is easily the most prolific producer of aftermarket details. Period. Their series of photo-etched detail sets have brought additional fidelity to otherwise bland subjects, and have taken even the best-produced models and kicked them up a notch or two with details that cannot be produced with injection-moldedplastic.

B-24 Surface Panels

This interesting set is designed to provide those subtle surface details that were scattered across the full-sized B-24J Liberator (many of which were also used on the earlier B-24D). This set provides a nice array of window frames, escape hatches, vents, fuel filler caps, and access/inspection panels all around the airframe. The instructions clearly show you where each of these parts are located, including the array of circular panels that serve as the inspection panels under the wings.

You should be able to find this detail set at your local hobby retailer or one of the many online hobby shops. Trust me, this is worth looking for!

My sincere thanks to Eduard for this review sample!
